# Going to Prison, Again

## Going to Prison, Again

 June 10, 2021 | [Washer](https://news.sqcommercial.com.au/blog/tag/washer), [Dryer](https://news.sqcommercial.com.au/blog/tag/dryer)

As mentioned in one of our [most recent articles](https://news.sqcommercial.com.au/blog/casuarina-prison), Speed Queen supplies large prisons with commercial washers and dryers.

It is no surprise we were chosen to handle the high volumes required by another Australian prison because Speed Queen machines are well known for their [durability and reliability.](https://sqcommercial.com.au/build-quality/)

### Moving heaven and earth, but mostly mud

Another prison install we managed was at the Darwin Correctional Centre in the Northern Territory. This proved to be a tough install, but we were up for the challenge. The site is effectively hacked out of the bush outside Darwin, so transport was going to be an issue.

On the day of the install, the team faced 35-degree heats with 100% humidity. The roadways were virtually unusable rivers of mud. To make matters worse our team was working out of a concrete and steel shed with no power or ventilation, so it was like a furnace inside.

Despite the conditions, we delivered.  The order was fulfilled and installed seamlessly in just two days.

### Why Speed Queen?

Speed Queen offers a wide range of products across many [different markets](https://sqcommercial.com.au/markets/), including corrections and defence.

Our products are ideal for these sorts of situations, when you want to be sure that your machines are durable, [low maintenance](https://sqcommercial.com.au/maintenance-tips/), and have the longest [commercial warranties](https://sqcommercial.com.au/warranty/) in the industry. We produce machines that you can rely on to give a quality wash every time.

We take installations seriously, and just like in Darwin, our local distributors will ensure a swift, high quality install, regardless of the conditions.
