Clean clothes and linen have a profound impact on our lives,
Imagine a world without them, oh what a surprise!
So let's celebrate this day with a cold one in hand,
And toast to our clean undies and socks, ain't that grand?

It's that time of year again to think about how laundry impacts our lives. It might seem silly, after all, its just laundry, but it really can have a profound impact on all of our lives. Imagine a world where no one had clean clothes, the smell would be awful! Or if laundry wasn't around to ensure clean sheets in a hospital or fire station, people would get seriously sick!
Laundry is clearly important, and international laundry day is a great time to take a moment to stop and think about it!
So what can you do to celebrate International Laundry Day?
#1 Thank people working in the laundry sector
It's important to show gratitude to those you know who are responsible for doing the demanding work of laundry, even though it may not be as arduous as it was a century ago, it can still be an unappreciated job for many. By taking a brief moment to express your appreciation with a cheerful smile and you might just make their day!
#2 Teach someone laundry!
International laundry day is the perfect time to teach someone how to properly use a washing machine or dryer. It could be someone from your family, a customer, a client, or even a colleague! Laundry can be tricky, from managing radically different colours, cleaning delicate items or using some of the advanced machine tools, there's something for everyone to learn!
#3 Review your laundry process
Laundry products, much like half-used pens and rubber bands, have a habit of building up in odd forgotten-about drawers. International laundry day is the perfect time to do a deep dive into your detergents, cleaners and machines you are using, to figure out what's still working, and what needs changing. It's also not a bad idea to do some routine maintenance and have checkups performed on your machines, our machines are built to last, but checkups will help them run effectively.
#4 Consider your environmental impact
Whether you are a true believer, or simply just like the efficiency, international laundry day is the perfect time to take another look at your laundry systems efficiency. Think about how you might be able to reduce your water or power usage, or maybe switch to a more environmentally friendly detergent.
